In   May   2016   we   announced   that   Raketfued   and   the   DTMS   team   will   merge   into   a   new   Raketfued   team.      To   ensure consistency   we   decided   to   discontinue   the   existing   rocket   line-ups   and   to   focus   on   new   rockets.   Now,   four   weeks   later   we are   excited   to   share   the   first   results   of   this   decision.   The   rockets   of   JCA   (the   “old“   Raketfued   team)   will   be   called   Arrow , and   the   rockets   will   be   improved   massively   in   comparison   to   the   current   rocket   fleet.   The   Ueberflieger   rockets   of   DTMS will   be   overhauled   and   called   Ueberflieger   Evo .   Furthermore,   we   plan   the   introduction   of   another   new   rocket   line-up later   this   year   (edit   from   February   2017:   Learn   more   about   our   new   Falcon    line-up ) .   The   first   rockets   of   our   new   line-ups   are finalized and in this article we want to introduce them to you.
NEW ROCKET LINE-UP ARROW AND UEBERFLIEGER EVO
ARROW I
The   Arrow   1   rocket   is   the   successor   of   the   SkyHopser   2R.   However,   we   were   able   to   reduce   both   weight   and   footprint while enlarging the volume.
SKYHOPSER 2R (4.3 liters / 480 grams) ARROW I (4.6 liters / 445 grams)
This   is   possible   because   we   changed   the   method   of   construction.   The   upper   section   of   the   pressure   vessel   is   now replaced   with   a   regular   plastic   bottle   without   thread.   This   allows   us   to   place   the   parachute   system   directly   onto   the   vessel. Also,   in   contrast   to   the   SkyHopser   2R,   the   Arrow   1   is   designed   from   the   beginning   to   be   reinforced   with   fiberglass.   The vessel   is   stuck   together   with   Sikaflex   11FC,   which   has   great   sealing   characteristics.   We   also   added   a   third   layer   of fiberglass   to   improve   the   safety   during   launch   and   to   increase   the   possible   launch   pressure.   The   fins   of   the   rocket   are smaller,   lighter   and   are   mounted   a   little   bit   upwards.      That   improves   the   center   of   gravity   and   safes   even   more   weight. The new nosecone is removable and can be equipped with an altimeter.
UEBERFLIEGER MINI EVO
The   Ueberflieger   Mini   Evo   has   some   of   the   improvements   in   common   with   the   Arrow,   but   there   are   also   other   ones.   Thus, we were able to reduce the ratio of weight to capacity and to improve reliability. 
UEBERFLIEGER MINI G (6.1 liters / 570 grams) UEBERFLIEGER MINI EVO (6.7 liters / 610 grams)
The   capacity   of   the   rocket   was   increased   by   one   additional   bottle   section,   which   equals   about   600ml.   This   helps   also optimizing   the   center   of   gravity   of   the   rocket.   We   also   used   Sikaflex   11FC   to   stick   the   vessel   together.   This   allows   us   to launch   the   rocket   at   17   bar   /      250   psi.   We   also   added   smaller   fins   to   the   rocket.   But   not   only   that:   We   also   improved   the radial deployment system of the rocket ti save even more weight and to increase reliability.

MORE NEW ROCKETS
Update   21st   July   2016:    The   Ueberflieger   Evo    is   now   also   finished.   It   is   a   little   bit   larger   then   its   smaller   brother,   the Ueberflieger Mini Evo.  We were able to launch the rocket successfully on June the 6th. Here are a few pictures:
The   Ueberflieger   Evo   has   three   more   bottle   sections   when   compared   to   the   Mini   Evo.   You   can   learn   more   about   the rocket here.   The   JCA   department   is   quite   busy   with   building   the   next   Arrow   rockets.   To   safe   time,   we   decided   to   build   Arrow   2   and Arrow   3   simultaneously.   The   new   Arrow   rockets   will   have   the   same   improvements   like   the   Arrow   1,   but   will   have   bigger pressure vessels. Stay tuned!
Update   4th   October   2016:    The   pressure   vessel   of      Arrow   2    was   tested   today,   now   we   have   to   assemble   the   rocket.   We   need some time until we are ready to test the Arrow 3.
Update   17th   October   2016:   The   Arrow   3   has   successfully   passed   the   pressure   test   and   we   launched   both   rockets   on October,   16th   for   the   first   time.   Since   there   were   problems   with   the   air   pump,   we   were   limited   to   12   bar   /   170   psi. Nevertheless   the   launches   were   quite   impressive.   Unfortunately   the   Arrow   2   crashed   during   their   second   flight.   This   was caused   by   the   parachute   system   trigger   -   it   was   corroded.      We   plan   to   rebuild   the   rocket   in   the   following   weeks   and months.
